Dear Wisconsin State Chapter NATS Colleagues,
The 2026 Wisconsin Chapter Auditions will take place at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire,
Friday, November 6 - Saturday, November 7, 2026. The Online Auditions for Children and Youth Categories will take place in the spring with the exact date to be announced after the fall auditions have concluded.
The registration period for all categories is September 11- October 8, 2026.

Do you have a colleague who is new to Wisconsin? Is YOUR membership up to date? Membership must be current by September 15 in both the National and State chapters to participate in the WI Audition. Visit nats.org to check your membership status.
Wisconsin Chapter auditions comply with all National Student Auditions (NSA) guidelines, categories, and regulations. The NSA Auditions Committee has undergone a refresh this year. “The NSA Refresh is designed with one goal in mind: to make every audition experience clearer, more consistent, and more accessible for everyone involved.” The new NSA documents, organized by categories can be accessed at the links below:

Each handbook contains excellent information about best practices for adjudicating, video submissions, choosing repertoire, and so much more. Please read everything carefully, and if you still have a question, reach out to the Auditions Chair: Emily Sternfeld-Dunn.

Not sending students to the Auditions this year? Please consider coming to adjudicate and attend the Chapter Luncheon and Meeting! It is our goal to have 3 adjudicators for each category, and your attendance makes this possible. If this is something you are interested in doing, simply complete the AuditionWare registration without registering students.

We have two big changes to the WI chapter auditions:
- Preliminary rounds for HS and CM categories will be held online. Semi-final and final rounds for these categories will take place at UW-EC on Friday.
- If you are registering students for auditions, either in categories that are entirely in person or ones that are both online and in person, you must attend both days as an adjudicator. If you cannot attend to adjudicate for both days, you must find a substitute, who will be vetted by the auditions chair.
Other important information:
- The (Required) Friday Adjudicators’ Meeting will begin at 8:00am in HFA 143.
- Please plan to attend the chapter Luncheon and Meeting, Saturday, Nov. 7 at 11:30pm. Luncheon information can be found here.
