Important Information About Parking at UWSP
PLUG/PURCHASE OR PAY THE FINE!
The erection of a beautiful new science building has meant tighter parking at UWSP, and the City of Stevens Point will be installing parking meters on many of the streets adjacent to campus after many years of allowing students to park for free. UWSP lots are clearly marked; street parking is monitored by the city.
Please purchase parking passes ahead of time for UWSP lots, and make sure to plug the meters if you park on a metered slot whether it is in a lot or on the street.
UWSP meter parking is available in Lots R and Y at $.75 per hour. (Lot R meters have coin and cell phone app payment options; Lot Y has coin and debit/credit card payment options.)
Bus parking in campus lots on Thursday and Friday is not available. Buses can park on the street for drop-off and pick-up (and load in and out), but then will need to be directed away from NFAC.
Parking meters on campus are not enforced after 7pm on Friday and are open (not enforced) all day on Saturday. On Saturdays, large buses have parked in Lot R, but should NOT park in Lot Y.

Parking options for the event on Friday,November 3rd:
- If any attendees are driving vehicles with state license plates, they can park in any staff PERMIT lot; 3 north rows of Lot R would be most convenient.
- You can pre-purchase daily permits (PDF to email or paper) for $6 per day for attendees driving personal vehicles. Permits valid at the METERS in Lot T and Lot R (3 south rows of Lot R.
- Another option is having attendees plug the meters in Lot R at $.75 per hour. Be prepared with change or utilize the Passport app via smart phone; Lot R & T meters are long-term up to 12 hours.
Pre-ordering daily, non-refundable permits involves sending an email to Parking.Services.Office@uwsp.edu with conference specifics; name, dates, quantity, etc. and an account number to process a transfer or a phone # to call for credit card information to charge for the permits.
Street parking is available on several side streets adjacent to campus – please obey all parking regulations according to The City of Stevens Point. Signs are posted.
If you are cited for a parking violation, UWSP faculty members or NATS board members are not able to intervene for you, either at the UWSP Parking Office or the City of Stevens Point.
