Wisconsin NATS Vocal Music Scholarship

The Wisconsin Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing invites you to help deserving young singers receive the instruction needed to pursue lifelong musical interests. Private vocal instruction is critical for students considering careers in the vocal arts. However, paying for these lessons can be a financial barrier for many students. NATS intends to begin to combat this problem by providing scholarships to eligible students that are chosen by a committee of voice teachers based on the applications received.
The WI NATS Vocal Music Scholarships are designed to provide opportunities for singers:
Young artists who are chosen for these scholarships will receive instruction and mentorship from Wisconsin NATS teachers. Voice lessons have a positive effect on self-esteem and personal development, they lay the groundwork for pursuing careers in the arts or education, and they help build leaders and creative citizens.
Your gift will establish the WI NATS Vocal Music Scholarships. Help us provide an opportunity for young, aspiring singers to achieve their greatest musical aspirations.
For $60 you can provide an hour-long lesson for a student to study with a professional voice teacher. For $240 you can provide a month of lessons. For $2,000 you provide a year of study, sheet music, access to collaborative pianist resources, and assistance with preparing for college applications.

- Who are representative of the diverse cultures, backgrounds, and communities in Wisconsin
- Who would not otherwise have the financial means to pursue their interest in singing

- 15 lessons per semester from a WI NATS teacher
- Solo vocal anthologies from which to study
- Access to a service such as Appcompanist, so that the student can rehearse independently
- Assistance with NATS Student Auditions entry fees
